满帆大学 was proud to host the second annual Central Florida Immersive 技术 Summit, presented by the VR/AR Association Central Florida Chapter. The two-day conference was open to the public, bringing together students, 雇主, and industry leaders alike to explore VR/AR technologies.

The first day consisted of a variety of panels featuring nearly 100 speakers who shared their insights about the future impact of immersive technologies in a plethora of areas such as the future of immersive technologies, immersive technology in education and training, immersive technology in the defense industry, immersive technology in entertainment and media, and immersive technology in the healthcare industry. The event saw nearly 500 attendees, all gathered to learn about immersive technologies, including virtual reality, 增强现实, 扩展的现实, 和更多的. The tech is featured in many industries, 包括卫生保健, such as the virtual reality applications being built at 满帆 in collaboration with AdventHealth.

The following day included three events: a Women in Tech breakfast, followed by a technology expo and career fair. Several women were invited to speak at the breakfast to share their experience as an industry professional, imparting their knowledge on the aspiring technologists in attendance. 满帆 hosted the breakfast with the hope to create a community for women to network and grow in the field.

Through this collaboration with the VR/AR Association Central Florida Chapter, 满帆 aims to create networking opportunities for students and facilitate their growth within the industry before they graduate.

“We had about 24 companies who came to showcase their latest advancements in immersive technologies,”医生说。. We had several companies who were at the Tech Expo, not necessarily knowing who 满帆 is, and they came because of the conference. But now we are in conversations with them, talking about internship positions, hiring and so on. We're also talking about how we can collaborate together in immersive technologies, as we're always looking for ways to give our students the opportunity to work on real-world projects.”
